After a careful application, L was discharged without conviction despite police opposition.
Client M faced his sixth, seventh and eighth excess breath alcohol offences. A plea negotiation with the Police led to some of the charges being amended to lesser offences. M plead guilty to the reduced charges and managed to escape a lengthy prison sentence. M was sentenced to Home Detention on all three charges.
Client J was accused of family violence offending he did not commit. J was charged with assault with a weapon, breach protection order, assault family and wilful damage. The complainant of the matter confessed to the Police that she made it up, but the Police continued to prosecute. All four charges were dismissed at trial.
